Mystery Whisky
A competition where the customer buys a dram of a “mystery” single malt and guesses which whisky it is. At the end of the competition the customer who gets the closest answer wins a bottle of said whisky.

Money from each dram will go to charity.

Mystery Whisky Competition - Terms and conditions:

  1. Entrants must be aged 18+

  2. Entrants must make their competition entry in person (at the Machair Bar), using their own contact details.

  3. One bottle is the prize for the competition as a whole, not for each correct entry.

  4. One purchase (35ml dram) allows for one entry, to be written on a slip of paper and entered into the ballot box. Multiple guesses on one slip will not be counted.

  5. The aim is to get the closest to the whisky distillery and expression, which may or may not be an age statement.

  6. Closest guess will be the winner. If there are multiple correct answers the winner will be picked at random from the correct entries. If the correct expression isn't guessed then guesses that include the correct distillery will be collected and the winner picked at random from them. If neither the correct expression or distillery are guessed by anyone then the closest distillery, geographically (as the crow flies), will be the winner.

  7. The prize (bottle of whisky) is non-transferable and there is no cash alternative.

  8. Each competition will run for one calendar month, unless another time-frame is specified.

  9. Entries made outside of the duration of each competition will not be counted.

  10. Any personal data collected (such as contact number or email address) will be kept only until the winner is announced, after that it will be deleted/destroyed. Your personal information will only be used for the purposes of this competition.

  11. The prize bottle must be collected from the Machair Bar, the competition organisers won’t be responsible for delivering the prize bottle to the winner.

  12. The competition organisers reserve the right to withdraw, amend or terminate (temporarily or permanently) these terms and conditions without prior notice where unforeseen circumstances occur.

  13. By entering the competition you are accepting these terms and conditions.
